A Clover Tool That Rocks My World!
Worked on two small patched work zipper pouches today for my Aunt and Cousin who’s visiting here in the morning. They came down in early June to help with my father’s estate and wanted to surprise them with something special when they return again. I really dig this pattern’s color way too. It’s from Basic Grey Moda Fabrics and the patterns is called Decorum. I’ll have a YouTube link below where I found this pattern from the Fat Quarter Shop! I just love their videos and have learned so much from them!
It felt good to work on a project with My Bernina again too. I felt like I was neglecting Tula since I just got a new Pfaff portable machine in September. I bounce between machines all the time. It’s just nice to have two amazing machines to work with!
The tool here is from Clover and it’s the best tube turner notion I’ve ever used. Great for poking out corners, use a stylus while sewing and to smooth out rounded edges. Everyone should have one in their notions tool chest. In the comments below, what your favorite notion tool?
Give this pattern a go too if you’re looking for something fun to do with a mini charm pack or standard charm pack. I use Pellon Sheerweight Fusable interfacing as my foundation for the patchwork. It’s kind of a “quilt as you go” type construction. Assembly is fun too. I find it fascinating all the different ways to insert a lining in a zipper bag. I kind of like this technique the best!
Happy sewing and quilting!
Hugs,
Scott
