Most bizarre house
Well after not visiting the House on the Rock for over 13 years and it being 17 years when Maria and I last went, I felt it was time to pay respect to this most bizarre Wisconsin attraction in that amount of $30. Lol.
That amount includes a 3-4 hour self guided walking tour of the house and all of Alex Jordan’s collection he found in his lifetime. Let me tell you, it’s a lot of stuff (junk). You get 4 tokens too to use for animatronic musical instruments. What ever they are called. I’ll include a gallery of photos below of this mist bizarre attraction, but it’s a must visit if you have never been. It’s a good workout too!
Based in some of the most beautiful landscapes of Wisconsin, House on the Rock is home to Spring Green & Dodgeville. Non-glacial parts of Wisconsin countryside is a perfect escape for a natural get away! Taliesin is also located near by which is the Frank Llyod Wright school of architecture. Govenor Dodge State Park is further south from the house and is one of my favorite camping places in Wisconsin too.
Just happy that my dear friend Maria and I were able to come back and visit together since 2005. As we scope through the house that was made for a very short person and try not to glance at the creepy dolls and unclad maniquins, we were each other’s best protection.
There is no words for the House on the Rock. Some would say it’s cool, others would say bizarre. I’ll just remain without judgement cause I have no words. 😎
Leave a comment below if you’ve ever gone or if you’ve always wanted to go. I’d love to hear from you!
